Scott M. Nelson, MD
Scott M. Nelson, MD received his BA at Yale University, his MD at the University of Cincinnati, and his ENT training at the University of Colorado. He is board certified in otolaryngology, and a native of Painesville. From 1979-83 he served in the Indian Health Service in Arizona. Dr. Nelson’s special medical interests include hearing loss, sinus surgery, snoring, and sleep apnea. His personal interests include gardening, travel, racquetball, and camping.




E. Luke Bold, MD, PhD
E. Luke Bold, MD, PhD, earned his BA from Lawrence University, his PhD at Loyola University and his MD at Case Western University.  He completed his ENT training at the Cleveland Clinic and is board certified in otolaryngology.  Dr. Bold’s special medical interests include sinus surgery, sleep disorders, thyroid disorders, head and neck cancer, pediatric ENT, and voice problems.  His personal interests include cooking, golf, and music.





Kenneth J. Vito, MD
Kenneth J. Vito, MD achieved his BA and MD degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.  He received his ENT training at the Cleveland Clinic and is board certified in otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Vito’s special medical interests include thyroid surgery, pediatric patients, chronic ear diseases, and endoscopic sinus surgery. His personal interests including golf and piano.





Michael D. Gaugler, MD
Michael D. Gaugler, MD earned his Bachelor of Science degree from John Carroll University and his MD degree from the University of Cincinnati.  He received his ENT specialty training at the University of Louisville.  He is originally from North Olmstead on the west side of Cleveland.  Dr. Gaugler’s special medical interests including pediatric ENT, ear diseases, sinus and allergy problems, thyroid and parathyroid problems, snoring and sleep apnea.  His personal interests including golf, boating, fishing and family.



Samuel C. Kerns, MD

Samuel C. Kerns, MD earned his BA in Chemistry and minor in Economics from Case Western Reserve University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  He continued at Case, receiving his MD degree.  He received his ENT specialty training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.  Dr. Kerns’ special medical interests include nasal and sinus disease, hearing loss, pediatric ENT, and neck masses.  His personal interests include Cleveland sports teams, music and family.


Marcia Berezin, MA
Marcia Berezin, M.A. received her Master of Arts at Case Western Reserve University.  She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the Ohio Academy of Audiology, and the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  Marcia’s main interests lie in diagnostic audiology and the fitting of digital hearing aids for adults.  She has been a member of the practice for over 15 years and sees patients in our Willoughby and Mentor offices.

Margaret Kost, MA
Margaret Kost received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech/Hearing and her Masters of Arts in Audiology at Cleveland State University. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology. Margaret specializes in performing balance evaluations called Videonystagmography (VNG) and electrophysiology evaluations called Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) & Electrocochleography (ECochG). She schedules appointments for the above diagnostics tests in our Willoughby location.

Margaret enjoys spending time with her two children and husband in Willoughby.  She loves to run/work out with any extra time available and has a passion for music.

Sarah J. Lombardo, MA
Sarah Lombardo received her Master of Arts in Audiology at Cleveland State University. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. Sarah's main interest is in diagnostic audiology for both the pediatric and adult populations. She sees patients in both the Mentor and Willoughby locations. Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
